- To qualify, a fish of every tournament species (Murray Cod, Golden Perch, Carp, Redfin) must be entered and approved into the tournament across the duration of the event
- First prize is awarded to the winner with the greatest cumulative length of their best size of each species

- At a random hour, a random length of Golden Perch will be selected as the Honda Marine Golden Hour
- In this hour, the first person to catch the Golden Perch of the nominated size will be the lucky winner
- In the case that a Golden Perch of the exact nominated size isn’t caught, the first person to catch a fish that is next closest to the nominated size will be declared the winner
- If multiple fish of the nominated size are caught, the first fish entered will be the winner
- Sizes and times are decided prior to the event but aren’t revealed until the prize draw in the evening
